Description

Four aviation cadets socializing in their personal quarters. The cadet’s barracks was established at the Rose C. Swart Practice School, which under-went renovations to meet the army’s needs. The army established the 96th College Training Detachment at Oshkosh State Teachers College in March of 1943. Aviation cadets learned the basic knowledge needed to fly airplanes as well as received flight training from S.J. Wittman at the Winnebago County Airport.
